Donald C. Tomasso
Mr. Tomasso is a Senior Advisor to Wakefield with respect to healthcare company operating performance. Mr. Tomasso is currently a senior advisor to Great Point Capital with a focus on healthcare investments. From March 2010 through May 2014, Mr. Tomasso served as the President of NorthStar Healthcare. From May 2006 to March 2010, Mr. Tomasso worked with Messrs. Nordberg, Willison and Murphy to operate Wakefield’s $225 million equity joint venture with NorthStar Realty Finance (NYSE: NRF). Mr. Tomasso served on the Board of Directors of Medical Office Properties from December 2001 until May 2004 and since 2000 has been Chairman and co-owner of Metro Offices, Inc., a provider of workplace solutions for entrepreneurs. He also served as Interim Chairman of MQ Associates, Inc., the parent of MedQuest, Inc., a diagnostic imaging company controlled by CCMP Capital Managers, LLC. From 1991 to 1998, Mr. Tomasso was President of Manor Care Health Services, Inc. until its acquisition by Healthcare and Retirement Corporation (formerly NYSE: HCR), one of the country’s largest providers of skilled nursing care, assisted living facilities and senior support that had annual revenues of $1.8 billion during Mr. Tomasso’s tenure. Prior to 1991, Mr. Tomasso held a number of executive management positions at the Marriott Corporation. Mr. Tomasso earned his B.S. in Commerce and Engineering, his M.S. in Environmental Engineering and a M.B.A. in Finance, all from Drexel University.
